Whanake te Kura - Mātaatua Māori Language Symposium

Whanake Te Kura is a Mataatua-centric Māori language symposium dedicated to showcasing and promoting revitalisation initiatives within the region, funded by Te Mātāwai. This event, scheduled for the 15th of March 2025 in Whakatāne, aims to bring together whānau, iwi, hapū, and community members to celebrate and share Māori language development projects. The event will provide a platform for individuals and groups to present their efforts, exchange ideas with other iwi, and inspire local communities to engage with te reo Māori revitalisation.
